What apps or websites do you use to find the best deals, coupons, or free stuff?

Main Post:

I’m trying to get smarter about saving money and stretching my budget, especially with so many shopping options out there. Whether it’s apps that alert you to flash sales, websites offering exclusive coupons, or platforms where you can score freebies and samples, I want to know what tools actually work. If you have favorite apps or sites that help you find reliable discounts, cashback offers, or giveaways, please share! Also interested in any tips on how to make the most of these deals without wasting time.

Top Comment: Off the top of my head: Ibotta, Fetch and Checkout 51 apps. Join facebook groups for those apps Search on youtube for your local grocery store and deals Sign up for Aisle and Social Nature to get freebies Join r/AwesomeFreebies and find free stuff Email companies for coupons - https://www.reddit.com/r/couponing/comments/1hqqwdn/companies_who_mailed_me_coupons/ Find matchups where you can combine deals to get stuff for very cheap, free or even make money using youtube, facebook or on your own with the above apps Sign up for local birthday freebies using different days throughout the year to spread out the freebies. There's a big thread on slickdeals. Use partner's phone #/email to double up on any offers if possible If you are in a state that allows them, do NBPR (no beer purchase required rebates). There's a big thread on slickdeals. If you drink alcohol, use rebates (I regularly get free alcohol combing Kroger cash back, BYBE, and alcohol rebates). Use coupon sites Use slickdeals and phatwalletforums to find deals Use Amazon Subscribe & Save to save up to 15% plus combine with S&S coupons Do credit card and bank account sign up bonuses to make extra money Maximize credit card rewards and offers - I use a dedicated Citi Custom Cash card for grocery only to earn 5% back and many times I get 10% off Kroger with credit card offers. I have another card for 5% off all dining, 4% off gas, and 2% back on everything. Use rakuten to save when buying online Use Upside for cash back on gas and restaurants Use Gas Buddy to find the cheapest gas Use InKind app if you have restaurants in your area. They have coupons and buy gift cards when they go on sale (Costco and Amazon have sales regularly)

FL Studio Black Friday Deals - save up to 25%

Main Post:

Image Line released their Black Friday deal today:

  • FL Studio Producer Edition: save 25% (now $149, was $199). Also includes free XTT Vinai (Multi FX Plugin) and 5 sample packs.
  • FL Studio All Plugins Edition: save 20% (now $399, was $499). Also includes 5 free plugins and 5 sample packs.

The deals are live until 30th November, so there is no rush.

Is this a good deal? From my research, this is the best Black Friday deal Image Line has ever offered on FL Studio:

  • Only FL Studio All Plugins Edition was 20% off during Black Friday 2021.
  • FL Studio Producer Edition has never been included to my knowledge.

I hope this is helpful for producers looking to buy a license. You might also find the guide to the cheapest way to buy FL Studio useful, which includes top tips to save money buying FL Studio with education deals or finding the cheapest retailer.

UPDATE: I have had confirmation from Image Line on the upgrade pricing during Black Friday for existing FL Studio owners:

Upgrading from FL Studio Fruity Edition > Producer Edition

$60 was $110

+ $136.90 worth of Plugins and Sample Packs

Upgrading from FL Studio Fruity Edition > All Plugins Edition

$310 was $410

+ $532 worth of Plugins and Sample Packs
Upgrading from FL Studio Producer Edition > All Plugins Edition

$210 was $310

+ $532 worth of Plugins and Sample Packs
Upgrading from FL Studio Signature Bundle > All Plugins Edition

$110 was $210

+ $532 worth of Plugins and Sample Packs

All offers are only valid until November 30th.

Best food deals for people saving money/light eaters?

Main Post:

While I'm out and about I'm trying to save a bit of money. Any good food deals/hacks in the Triangle area for casual eaters that aren't terrible for your health? Albeit cost-effective, I'm not looking for fast food places in particular (I rather avoid fried foods), but I'm not also looking for fine-dining. Just something light and "somewhat" health conscientious.

Here's an example of a pretty nice deal I found. Longhorn has a $3.50 loaded baked potato. You also get one of their complementary bread roll + butter with it. Nothing to write home about, but decent for me when I like to avoid fried foods.

Top Comment: There is an app called 'too good to go' restaurants that have left over food sell it for cheap. Only issue is you don't know what you're gonna get. It's not spoiled food, just let over, unsold food. Might be an option for you.

Money Saving Expert and Uswitch Sim only deals any cons at the end of the contract period?

Main Post:

With the current cost of things, I’m looking into alternatives for getting a phone contract directly from the main suppliers Three, O2, Vodafone etc. I would still like to stay with my provider as I have no issues with them apart from the price on their website.

The offers are just not great for cutting costs. I have tried contacting customer service to see if I can get a better deal but the deals they can offer are worse than what I’m currently on. When on a call to them I mentioned a better deal I found for £8, 12 months for 30gb on MSE hoping they could match or give something close, they wouldn’t do that. I am considering getting it directly from MSE/Uswitch but something the agent said on the chat made me apprehensive. They said that people sign up via third parties and get caught out by end of contract increases. Is this something that has been an issue if anyone has used these services, are there any terms you would say to watch out for and what typically happens at the end of a contract with MSE/Uswitch.

Any advise would be really appreciated.

Sorry if this isn’t the right place to post this. Thanks

Top Comment: no idea what they mean, in 12 months if they increase it you switch to a new deal, they're simply BSing you uswitch is great, go for it

a hidden tip: how to save money

Main Post:

I have found that a really great way to save on groceries seems to be Instacart. The trick seems to be to shop at certain stores, and it seems to give me a lot of coupons particularly as a result. I calculated this is my savings so far in the last 360 days:

  • Discounted membership: $80 saved
  • 2 $35 off $70 coupons (Earth Day, store promo): $70 saved
  • 6+ $10 off $35 coupons, 2 $5 off coupons for various stores: $70
  • 2 specialty store coupons ($20 off $30; 1 cosmetic, 1 convenience): $40 saved
  • $65 in free IC+ credits for completing checklist actions, and promotions
  • Estimated Cost of Effort (hours saved calculated by IC by hour): about $460, as I order from far away
  • Estimated Cost of Gas and car depreciation: about $200, as I order from far away

Total Saved: $960

And, you get CC rewards and membership or club rewards on top of that!

Top Comment: I hope you tip well with all that money saved.
